About YongaCivil
Uniting Roads To Our Country
From humble beginnings to one of Western Australia's largest road maintenance and civil contractors, YongaCivil continues to be built on the same family and cultural values, quality workmanship and commitment to doing the job properly.
Our Story
Built From The Ground Up
YongaCivil was founded in 2021 when Liam Hansen and his uncle Matthew McDowell joined forces with the established SuperCivil business, which had been operating in Western Australia since 2010.
The partnership brought together family, experience and a shared ambition to build one of Western Australia's leading Aboriginal-owned and operated civil contracting businesses.
From the beginning, YongaCivil was created to be more than a civil contractor. The vision was to build a business that could compete at the highest level of the industry while creating meaningful employment, training and long-term career opportunities for Aboriginal people.
By combining the experience, systems, equipment and capability developed through SuperCivil with YongaCivil's Aboriginal ownership and long-term vision, the business has grown into a professional, multi-disciplined civil contractor capable of delivering projects across Western Australia.
Today, YongaCivil proudly employs many people across its operations and operates an extensive fleet of specialised machinery, heavy equipment and transport vehicles. Our capabilities span asphalt, spray sealing, earthworks, concrete, profiling, road maintenance, plant hire, transport and broader civil construction services.
As the business has grown, so has our commitment to building a strong and sustainable Aboriginal workforce. We believe real opportunity comes from creating long-term employment, developing skills, building careers and giving people the opportunity to become an important part of a growing organisation.
YongaCivil combines the values of a family business with the professionalism, systems and capability expected of a major civil contractor. Our operations are supported by experienced leadership, dedicated management teams and clearly structured departments, allowing us to deliver complex projects while maintaining the personal relationships and accountability the business was built on.
Family remains at the heart of YongaCivil. So does our commitment to our people, our clients and the communities in which we work.
We believe in treating people with respect, standing by our word, delivering quality work and creating opportunities that have a lasting impact.
As YongaCivil continues to grow, our ambition is clear: to build one of Western Australia's largest and most respected Aboriginal-owned civil contracting companies while creating genuine employment, opportunity and pathways for Aboriginal people for generations to come.

Building Western Australia's Future
YongaCivil continues to grow by investing in great people, modern equipment and the values that have been with us since day one.
As a family and Aboriginal owned Western Australian business, we're proud of where we've come from, excited about where we're going and committed to delivering every project with the same old school values and service that built our reputation.
